Don't stray too far south if that's a scene you'd like to avoid! South of Warrior Point Beach along Reeder road is Collins Beach, which is clothing optional. Here, people and pups like to lay back and watch the boats and barges pass by on the Colombia River. The water is decently calm, except for waves created by the wakes from boats. This beach area isn't known for it's swimming, but it's a great location for you and your pal to cool off after a hike. You'll be hiking a total of 7 miles, so be sure to bring water and snacks to share with your canine companion. From here, it's a flat and easy hike along the river to the lighthouse and beach area.

From here, you'll need to drive to the end of NW Reeder Road, and past the end of the pavement, approximately 4 miles down the road from Reeder Beach. Passes are available for purchase at the market on your left when you come off the Sauvie Island Bridge, and at most convenient stores in the area. The pass is $10 per day, or $22 for annual pass. To get to this beach, you'll either need to come in by boat or take a 3.5 miles hike, but the rewards are worth it!
